-2- Fender Bracket. - The bracket you complain of, we assume, is the bracket which holds the front bumper on to the frame. We agree with you that it would be very serious if this bracket failed and allowed the bumper to drop on one side. This bracket, as you suggest, is not produced by us, but nevertheless the fact that it is fitted to one of our cars calls for some attention. We do actually produce special dumb-irons which hold the front end of the spring in which solid with the forging provision is made for carrying bumpers. This fixing, of course, we can guarantee. Unfortunately, it is rather an expensive change-over on an existing car. We believe that with certain modifications we ought to make your existing bracket so that there is will be no question as regards it being safe. The speed you mention for the car is what we expect. As you will realise, the car development is going on the whole time and it may be that at some future date we shall be able to show you a Phantom ll which will be sufficiently interesting for you to agree to replace your present car. With very best Wishes for 1932, Yours sincerely, | ||
