We have had a number of cases of the leather cover over the rear brake adjustment being burnt away by the Cut-out, and so far as we can see, this is bound to happen whenever the Cut-out is used for any length of time with the engine working at a considerable power. We understand that the rear Silencer has been reduced 3/4" in length, but this undoubtedly will not be sufficient to remove this trouble. We suggest that an alteration to the shape of the outlet pipe will be necessary so as to cause gases to blow more down-wards, but this of course will have the objection that it will raise a lot of dust.
