| COPY Bourne, Lincs. 24th February 1938 W.M.Cowen, Esq., Messrs.Bentley Motors Ltd., London. Dear Mr.Cowen, I have now covered just over 1,000 miles on my new 4 1/4-litre Bentley and although the car is a beautiful machine in every way, I am not quite satisfied with the engine performance. I fully realise she is as yet by no means at her best, but she does not compare favourably with my last 4 1/4 litre at the same mileage. I propose taking the car over to Derby some time during the next ten days and should like to have a word with Hayward and Grylls, and I trust this will be in order. With kindest regards. Yours sincerely, (Sd) Raymond Mays. | ||
