WST x6122 To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} E.5/HP.26.6.33. C. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Dv. F.{Mr Friese} .re 2 Batteries on Light Tanks. We attach herewith copy of letter received from Woolwich Arsenal, in which they ask us if we think the dynamo fitted to the Light Tank engine capable of taking care of two batteries. Would you kindly let us have your views on this proposal. We realise, of course, there are no head lights on the Light Tanks, so that the dynamo never operates under the conditions which obtain on a car at night time, in which case there is nearly always a fair amount of charge available when running. There is no doubt that vibrator control would probably be the best system for taking care of the conditions required in the future. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} ATT: | ||
