QUARTERLY COMPLAINTS OF 20 HP. & PHANTOM.

Points which need Experimental attention are as follows :-

v634 (1) 20 HP. SLIPPER WHEEL. This appears to be one of the worst complaints and we ought to make a move either to the simple low inertia type, or the centrifugally loaded one. I believe, however, one of the essential featured which must go with the new slipper wheel is an improved dynamo drive. ✓
The only reason one can see why the 20 HP. gives more trouble than the Phantom, is because the dynamo rattles occur easily on the 20 HP. and therefore the slipper wheel setting is much more critical. There is a scheme about somewhere which uses a dynamo drive like the Phantom 11.

v5360 (2) 20 HP. BRAKE S QUEAKS.
We should like to know why the scheme on Phantom 11 cannot be adopted on the 20 HP. ✓

(3) ASBESTOS PACKING FOR VALVE GUIDES.
This should be used on all our cars.

v5370 (4) 20 HP. SERVO.
There are a number of 20 HP. cars out which have no flexibility in the operation of the servo. It has been said that this cannot be applied to these cars. We ought to look into this and find out what can be done. ✓

(5) CLUTCH JAGGERS.
This appears to be a complaint on both cars and is one of the worst complaints on Phantom 11.

x7280 x5-80 (6) STARTER CARBURETTER.
There was a suggestion that the starter carburetter should be held off with a spring so that it is necessary to hold it open. We might rig up our Experimental cars this way.

(7) FABRIC COUPLINGS.
This still requires some attention on old cars
