To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Engine Unit out of Hall's Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}7/E15.10.34
Copy to Wcr. Chassis, B-35-AE.

Referring to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}16/KW.12.10.34 there must be some misunderstanding in the suggestion that this car only ran to and from the coachbuilders as it was taken to Italy by Hall in March last and, you will remember, was the car he used for practicing for the Italian Thousand Mile Race.

It was whilst it was in Italy that it was damaged and new parts, including front axle, were sent out.

It was brought back to England in April and, I think, went to Derby towards the end of May, and one imagines had fairly extensive use.

In view of Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/MJ.13.10.34 under the heading of "Bentley Competitions", it is possible that this unit will be going back into the chassis so we had better leave it in abeyance for the present.
