I notice from the Report that this car is running with a higher geared back axle.

I believe I am correct in saying that the primary object of the test is to prove out pistons for the production cars.

Such being the case, I am wondering whether the fitting of a higher geared back axle will affect this test from the point of view that the engine revolutions will be less and, therefore, the pistons will be imposed to less strenuous conditions.

I expect this has been taken into consideration and possibly the difference is not sufficiently great to be of material importance, but I should like to hear from you on the subject.

I should also be glad to know the object of the higher gearingtest. Is it with a view to its use on open cars or is it at this juncture just to obtain data and information?
