804 SECRET. By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}9/R.15.7.38. Body for Second B.50. With reference to By9/G.14.7.38, we do think that if a sum of £700 is to be spent by the Experimental Dept. on a body, some attempt should be made to improve the appearance of the boot. At the present moment we think that the back of B.50 is unnecessarily ugly, and Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} has produced a number of drawings showing how this can be improved. We also consider that the control on the windscreen when it is open, as arranged on 1.B.50, is entirely unsatisfactory, and that this should be put right. We presume that some modification will be required on this body to accommodate the 56" x 2¼" wide rear springs. Are Park Wards aware of this ? Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
