Messrs. Ferodo Ltd.,
Chapel-en-le-Frith.

Dear Mr. Longley,

Many thanks for your two letters. We are obtaining brake drum liners in Brico Austenitic iron and will send you a microphotograph in due course, for your comments.

As regards your new zinc wound F.B.A. we were going to fit B.Z. linings to our next Phantom III going to France. Is the new material something later than that, and if so what is its official name so that we can order some for test.

I should like to come over to Chapel some time in the near future to discuss with you composite drums and some experiments we have been carrying out on a rig for measuring cooling efficiency of different types of ribbing, and also see your testing machine. I'll give you a ring one day next week to find a day that will suit you.

Yours sincerely,
