XC4477 EFCl/AD. 2nd January, 1930. Messrs. Joseph Lucas Ltd. Great King St.{Capt. P. R. Strong}, Birmingham. X. 4477 X. 7800 Dear Sirs, Head Lamps. This letter is concerned with a matter which is independent of the other matter now satisfactorily settled of two head lamps concerning which we have been in communication with you. On a different experimental car we have two P.100 head lamps at present fitted with double contact lamp bulb holders for double switching on the same lamp bulb, the type of lamp bulb which has been used being the Graves type with the two filaments, one of which is half shielded by a cap. We are now anxious to change these fittings for ordinary single pole fittings which will take ordinary centre contact bulbs, because as explained in our other letter we want to get back to the central spot light arrangement as the alternative light to which to switch over. We want you to send us a pair of suitable fittings so that we shall be able to ourselves to replace them in these lamps. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
