FUEL USED ON "KESTREL" ENGINES IN BELGIUM.

With reference to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}5/MJ.21.6.33, we had already discussed this matter with Mr. Banks and he had sent us a copy of the letter addressed to you.

As there is no question of the Belgian military personnel being at fault regarding the mixing, there is no objection to taking up the matter officially. We are therefore today writing to the Chief of Staff of the Belgian Air Force and Messrs. Fairey pressing for the use of petrol which, when mixed with 30% Benzole, will give at least the minimum called for by D.T.D. 134 of 75.5 to 76.

This matter will be followed up personally later on.

F.{Mr Friese}
