Owing to changes in the rear axle ratios, the speedometers, belonging to two experimental cars need to be returned to the makers for alteration as follows. In the case of the instrument for car 1.R.1. this also needs repairing. Instrument No.1/230 car 1.R.1. The rear axle ratios has been changed from 10/41 to 11/41. Will you therefore please arrange for the calibration to be altered from its present value of 727 revs. per mile to 664 r.p.mile. Attention should also be given to the "trip mileage" mechanism, which is reported to be "sticking". Instrument No.Y.700 car 4.B.50. The rear axle ratio has been changed from 11/41 to 9/37.
