BJ. from EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/5/H12.4.22. Re. Goshawk II. 10,000 Mile Trials Cars. ---------- Replying to your BJ3/H11.4.22 - we do not at this stage wish to make any promise that we shall allot 5 - Goshawk-II for the Amateur car, but I am anxious to assure you that as soon as the standard type of production car is settled, we shall take action to arrange for a Goshawk II car to be fixed up in the standard condition and supplied for the amateur test run, which I take it is still settled shall be carried out. We shall allot such a car for this purpose as we feel can be prepared and supplied to you in the cheapest and quickest way. I hope to advise you later on this matter as soon as the meeting between R.{Sir Henry Royce} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} has taken place and after their experiences with 4, 5 and 6- Goshawk II have been discussed, and some recommendations or decisions arrived at. I am hoping that we shall hear something with regard to this during, or soon after, the Easter Holidays. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} | ||
