Dear Sirs,

Lavine Steering Gears.

We thank you for your letter of the 6th October, together with enclosures.

We have since heard from other sources in America that this steering gear has certain defects in that the bores tend to hammer into the worm. This being so we are deferring further tests with it until we have more evidence from the U.S.A.
