This car was tested at Brooklands yesterday by Mr., IW., Sm., & Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}

There was a high wind, which made it unsatisfactory for recording accurate speeds. The best lap speed on 19-LL was 84.8. The best speed over the half mile in favourable wind was 91.5.

The car was certainly faster than a standard production Continental, as we had one of these on the track at the same time. It is much too early to give any definite figures as regards the increase in performance obtained by the use of the semi-expanding carburettor. So far the results are not as good as with the S.U. but this is no more than what we expect from the time this carburettor has been on test. Should

The engine was remarkably smooth at all speeds. The steering and brakes were very good.

The following is a specification of this car :-

(1) Stiffeners from frame to dash to suit spare wheel carriers.
(2) Road Springs. These are the high rating Cont. type.
(3) Pedals. Cantilever support for pedals.
(4) Petrol tank. With electrical petrol gauge. Control for reserve on dashboard.
(5) Hydraulic dampers. Present standard type with split piston, set at high pressure 115 lbs. low pressure 90 lbs. front and rear.
(6) Lucas Buzzer horn, fitted under front apron.
(7) Exhaust fittings. Exhaust manifold made in Chrome Iron.
(8) Radiator. Copper Hexagon tubes.
(9) Bonnet. Rivetless bonnet overhanging dashboard 6".
(10) Bonnet fasteners. These have been bought out. There has been a certain amount of discussion on the cost of our present bonnet fasteners. The price we have been given is
