Y231. RECEIVED NOV 29 1932 To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re Bensport Instruments. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}11/E18.11.32 I see in DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/M10.11.32 that he says they think that the speedometer and tachometer on this car should read to 110 m.p.h. If, as I gather, the maximum speed of this car in the ordinary way is not likely to exceed 90 m.p.h., and under most favourable conditions, say, 95, I cannot see what is the object of having a speedometer reading up to 110. It seems to me that it would only be luring owners on to false hopes. You may care to let me have your views. If not, we can discuss the matter when I am next at Derby. Sg.{Arthur F.
