March 21st 1933.

Messrs S. Smith & Sons,
Cricklewood Works,
London. N.W.2.

For the attention of Mr. Nichols.

Dear Mr. Nichols,

I am sending you under separate cover for your inspection and others at Cricklewood an american speedometer made by the A.C. Company. I do not know whether you have seen this instrument before but the design appeared to me to be very simple and ingenious, and one that would lend itself to very cheap production.

One thing that impressed me about the instrument was the bold figures in the trip and mileage counter.

We often long for much clearer figures on the A.T. and would suggest that you let Mr. Buckland have a look at this instrument as it represents the type of figure we should like.

Yours sincerely,
