COPY OF LETTER x 6115. 36, BLANDFORD STREET LONDON. W.1. 18th July 1933. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. ----- Dear Sirs, ORDER NO. 50137. We thank you for your Order as above, covering the Klaxon Windscreen Wiper W.9. fitted to Chassis 1 B/4. Our Service Fitter reports that a similar wiper had been fitted, presumably at the Coachbuilders, and they had in error removed half of the parking arm bearing, which is a practice to be strongly deprecated. Further, owing to the design of the scuttle dash it was impossible to fit the gear boxes in such a position as to permit of the parking lever device operating normally. Moreover, in this particular instance the motor was fitted without the rubber base, and we understand that you are having regard for this fact, and if possible arranging to provide a suitable mounting, in order that the rubber base as provided can be incorporated. Yours faithfully, KLAXON LIMITED. | ||
