Dear Sirs,

With reference to the petrol tank with gauge in the altered position, as shown on your Drawing L.F.1220, we would call your attention to the only discrepancy which we have found between the tank delivered to us here, and this drawing.

The seating of the tank unit in the actual tank sent comes ¼" higher up than that shown on drawing.

The three original replacement units which we sent you will therefore all be approximately ¼" too short, if the tanks are like the sample sent us, and not like the drawing. They will be absolutely correct if the tanks are like the drawing.

We are proceeding with the work on this tank, and
