S/C CHASSIS UNIT.

Running time for week-ending 27th Feb.1937 - 12 1/4 hours.

Work to be done. Time.

Power & detonation on Alum. Head. RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary} 315 1 1/2 days.

Shop. Remove head and replace .048" gasket with
a .010" thick to give a C.R. of 6.75.

Power. & detonation tests. 1 1/2 days.

Shop. Remove alum. head, and machine .056" off
the face, at the same time recessing the
valve .056" further into the seat, and
fitting the new push rod to RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary} 441
A drawing for the modification is to be
issued by E/Psn.

Power, detonation & valve timing tests. 2.3 days.

The following spares, in order of urgency, are still outstanding:-

(1) Push rods to RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}441, required by Wednesday for fitting
with .010" joint to Alum. head, instructed HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/WSC.{W. S. Cassel} 19/BA.

(2) Replacement push rods to EB. 2021.

(3) Replacement inlet rocker bushes.

(4) Tachometer drive to SCT.53. instructed 14.12.36.

(5) Induction Pipe to SCT.52 instructed 14.12.36.
