Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std1/R.19.10.38. INSTRUCTIONS FOR REMOVING MATRIX UNIT. (1) Remove shell complete with grill from radiator by undoing top and bottom fixing screws and bolts. (2) Remove matrix unit from yoke by undoing bolts A (see prints attached.), and sliding unit out vertically. (3) Remove straps from matrix unit by turning up front tabs of wedges B., and knocking them rearwards. Also remove set screw from top of strap (C), bend steam escape pipe to permit removal of top strap. New matrix unit can then be fitted with strap and radiator built up by reversing above procedure.
