C O P Y Alexander DUCKHAM & C° Ltd. Holyport Road, Fulham, L O N D O N S.W. 6. LEPW/GMB. 16th August 1939. Messrs. Franco-Britannic Autos Ltd. 25, Rue Gide, LEVALLOIS-PERRET (Seine), France. Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr. V.{VIENNA} Allen, Works Manager. Mr. Duckham has asked me to thank you for your letter (ref. Sr/VA5/ET.3.8.39) of the 3rd August, and to apologise for the inopportune time of our request. We thank you, too, for your kind promise to help us in obtaining two typical, used Bentley valves. We enclose for your interest a copy of the cylinder bore measurements taken on Mr. Duckham's 4 I/4 Bentley after 27.000 miles on ADCOIDS and ADCOIDISED oils. Your opinion on these figures would be valued. In the meantime the engine has been reassembled without removing the carbon deposit as Mr. Duckham is anxious to continue running in order to observe the condition of the carbon after a considerably greater mileage. Yours faithfully, FOR ALEXANDER DUCKHAM & C° Ltd. Sgd. L.E.P. WRIGHT Laboratory Manager | ||
