Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rml/LG9.7.27. AXLE CONTROL. X8420 X235 Twist of axle control. Graph: Y-axis: Defln. thous. d.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} X-axis: lbs. load 'W' With reference to DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/M25.6.27. We have carried out a test on the axle control as requested. The results were obtained on a complete car, one shock damper arm being disconnected and the extremity of the triangular torque member being loaded. The movement of this arm with increasing load was then measured relative to the chassis. It will be observed that if the ball ends quarrel to the extent of 1/8", a load of about 300 lbs. is thrown on the ball ends. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
