The disadvantages with the scheme are :-

(1) Big distance off centre-point steering.
(2) Very little ground clearance.
(3) One would think that the sliding bearings in the front spring control would be difficult to protect from mud and water. Against this we know for a fact that there has been no excessive wear or trouble after 20,000 miles on one particular car.

The rear springing of the Lancia is the usual orthodox semi elliptic. The springs are very short and stiff. We believe that if the rear springs were modified the riding of the car as a carriage would be greatly improved.

On the rear springs, Hartford shock dampers are used.

We propose bringing the Lancia car to W.V. with EAC.8 car as soon as it is available.
