X4267 BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Dal/4.1.22. GOSHAWK 11. "D" PEDALS. X.4267 We send you herewith N.sch. No.1203 shewing the "D" pedals pushed forward approximately 2.5" in order to increase the leg room, which has been criticised on the original models. It will be seen that 2 new bosses must be added to the gear box casting. The clutch pedal is bent in the elevation but the brake pedal remains straight. Modification is involved to the clutch pedal stop on the crankcase. The spring of the clutch pedal has been removed. Mr. Hives asked for a stop on both the accelerator and brake pedals. We have provided one for the brake pedal, but we do not think that there need be one on the accelerator pedal, because of the slow running stops. We also shew a new open type turn buckle for brake adjustment. We shall be sending in a few days the modified drawing of the dashbrackets. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
