The primary object of this test was to determine the means which the Cadillac Co. have adopted to enable them to fit their cars with balloon tyres and at the same time overcome the trouble of high speed steering wobbles. The general behaviour of the car is not such as would be considered desirable on a Rolls-Royce car and the chassis is not, therefore, described in detail.

STEERING.

The car upon which the test was carried out was quite new having apparently previously done no mileage. The tyres fitted were 6.75" balloons. The Cadillac people recommend that these should be inflated to 38 lbs/sq.in. when contd :-
