Report on Experiment No. 174
Pedal Gap Plates made from thinner metal.

These thinner plates have been fitted to two cars but are not very satisfactory. They are unstable and can be easily bent down by the foot. The edge near the dash in which the slots are cut for the pedals is very weak indeed and can easily be bent by the fingers.

The present standard cast aluminium plates are a better and more satisfactory job.
