| - 2 - I discussed with Messrs. Peto & Radford the possibility of going still further with reduction in plate thickness and they informed me that .031" thick plates could be produced experimentally although a new production technique would have to be developed for these plates to be produced at anything like the same quantities as the .045" plates due to the fragility of the grids. However in order to obtain experimental data they are producing 4 batteries for us with .031" plates.
