N. - P. - Total 1. | W. - N. - P. - Last qtr's total - nil. | This is the only Crankshaft which we have any record of having broken. BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} reports that the cause of the failure was most probably due to the fact that the Engine had been running with a seized Slipper Drive. In view of the numerous 20HP. cars which we have to attend to for seized Slipper Drive, it may be considered of importance to look into this matter very carefully. We have recently standardised oil grooves for the Bakelite Plates on the Slipper Drive, which we hope will prevent many seizures as has previously been the case. Hm. {Capt. W.
