This Meeting was held to discuss chassis work generally. The report circulated under reference Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/ML.24.1.41 was taken as a basis for the discussion.

SENIOR RANGE.

Faults. - The faults enumerated on page 3 of this report were reviewed.

It was agreed that, if we could have the latest type gear-boxes completed and some new water pumps made, the experimental work neces-sary to eliminate the worst of these troubles could proceed. HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} was asked to go ahead with the necessary machining.

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} would like to add to these items half a dozen front shock absorbers, to overcome the trouble with dirt that has been experienced. These shock absorbers are now 75% machined.

Bodies. - Mr. Ward will be in Derby next week. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} will take the opportunity of discussing the position of Senior Range bodies while he is here.

Post War Production Programme. - A discussion took place as to the suitability of Senior Range cars for post war conditions. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} expressed the view that very few of these cars would be sold. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} said that he still hoped that there would be a demand for at least 1200 cars a year and that, if such a demand did not exist, this range of chassis would not be an economic proposition.
