They do not have any serious trouble even in arid regions. They expected excessive brush wear.
On the 12/16 the dynamos run at 1.4 engine speed, the engines run up to 4250/run 100 hrs endurance at this speed) and no trouble is experienced with excessive sparking & brush wear. Delco's would like them to run faster but their chain drive limits the speed.

The Bentley dynamos looks out of proportion compared to the American machines and they run very hot, 110-120°F) and their starter motors look absurdly small.
- I must call at Delcos
- to get first-hand information of all this and also the parts you want. Shall bring a starter motor back as well as the ignition.
