GAS LEAKS THROUGH INDIA FLOORBOARDS. X.5500 X.3908 X.5310

We understand that you have again taken up the matter of hot air leakage into the body through the gate mechanism and we have discussed the matter with DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} from the point of view of what can be done in the coachwork, and suggest that as far as the gearbox mechanism is concerned we can add to the gate quadrant a palm as indicated in the sketch hereunder, which we think should in conjunction with the bottom rail of the body, eliminate the gas leakage trouble.

AJS.

EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} is dealing with the mud and dust problem.

SEE ORIGINAL FOR SKETCH.
