(3) E.11/HP.15.2.33. (14) Front Cylinder Water Connection Nozzle. The present experimental chassis is rigged up with the existing water door and nozzle which is not at the correct angle. A pattern will be required for producing this piece at the proper angle. (15) Tachometer Drive on Dynamo. A small pattern will be required for the casing of the tachometer drive as this drive has had to be reversed in direction to suit the instrument makers direction of rotation which cannot be modified. (16) Bensport Dashboard. The cast dashboard on the experimental chassis was made to the original designs and not for the adapted engine unit. Slight modifications will be required to carry the floorboards in the modified position. (17) Brake Equalising Shafts. As you are aware it was agreed to modify the position of the brake equalising shafts to avoid cutting away any of the wells which accommodated the feet of the rear passengers. This alteration is being carried out utilizing the standard Peregrine crossmember brackets to the frame but new forgings are required for carrying the equalizing shafts from the crossmember. And one or two new levers. Instructions for these are about to be issued from the Design department. (18) Rear Shock Damper Mounting and Tubular Crossmember Support for Battery. Owing to the recent modification to the brake operating gear on the Peregrine back axle we believe a foul will occur with the two items mentioned in the heading when this new axle is used on Bensport. This matter is being looked into at the moment to see what modifications will be necessary. (19) Front Shock Damper Mounting. The mounting for the new type dampers is being modified from 2 bolts to 3 on all chassis where these new dampers are being adopted, and this will automatically come about on Bensport.
