to bind on either limit of the guide. If these centres on the carrier plate are too close a similar operation takes place to the spring load shoe. I consider this jig is largely responsible for the variation in the complaint of squeaks from production. I had to file the hole in the carrier plate on 19-EX. to get the centres correct. It is suggested that each shoe should be tested with a push spring balanced before the drum is finally fitted.
