This is too small compared with previous neck of .102"

Hence we adopt 26 slots each .186 by .536.
Cce at neck = 7.67"
1/26 of this = .295"
Slot = .186"
Neck = .109" which is slightly better than before. As before (20 H.P. case) 24 slots give a number of conductors less than 2/3 of the standard number, viz. 288 against 456, 26 slots give 312 which is 312/456 = .684 of old number. This will be O.K. owing to other improvements, space factor, neck etc. It is proposed in first instance to try a retro.equi. conductor-pitch winding of step 6 (1 to 7).

This will have no degree of short chording.
