X.4264. RE STEERING WHEEL - "GOSHAWK 1 & 11".

Referring to N. scheme 732, would you kindly

note the following :-

(1) Mr. Royce thinks the wheel should be 16.5 inches outside diameter.

(2) The rim should be notched on the inside, instead of underneather.

(3) The section of the rim should be 1.400" on the outside of notches, and 1.20 inside of notches, and the rim 1" thick.

(4) The boss of the steering wheel should not be split, but should be mounted on a taper with key.

(5) The steering column on the portion that is above the ball containing the thrust race, should be 1.125" outside diameter.
