R.R. 403A (40 H) (SL 42 12-7-23). J.H. D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} -3- Expl. No. REF:HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}6/LG1424 EXPERIMENTAL REPORT. We have found a piece of road near Derby which approximates closely to a bad French road - we feel quite satisfied with the steering over this road. If we fix weaker buffer springs to standard axle with front brakes, we get low speed steering wobbles. True centre-point appears worse for low speed wobbles. We cannot put the friction washer in with the front brake axle because they make the steering too stiff. Our steering tests have been carried out on cars with radius rods, springs anchored at the front and springs anchored at the rear. We cannot appreciate any difference in these fixings to the particular complaint we are investigating. Further report to follow. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
