Will Mr Bailey please obtain information regarding the various questions raised, before instructing the 100 sets:- Crankcase & Bearings Section 5000. (1) Which type of cylinder bolts - (a) With locating collars pinned & tinned. (b) With locating collars forced on. (2) We propose instructing Bottom Half E.71957, which carries Starter Motor, and is suitable for taking Clutch Housing which carries the Front Brake Equaliser. (3) We propose instructing Top Half E.71930 without waiting for probable modifications to Control Facings, caused by taking the carburetter Mixture Control from Steering Column. Torque Reaction Damper Section 5001. Section O.K. Crankshaft Section 5010. Section O.K. Spring Drive Section 5020. Section O.K. Connecting Rod Section 5030. Section O.K. Piston Section 5040. (1). Which compression should be instructed? 4¼, 4½ or 4¾ to 1. (2). Which floating gudgeon pin should be instructed? Lec.1979 - located with flanged end. Lec.1901 - located with Alum:end pieces. Mr Royce favours this. Cylinder Section 5050. (1). Hold up Front Cyl:Head Cover, until the new radiator is instructed. (2). Shall we use Monel metal for the parallel tubes.(Cyl:Head Bolts).
