re Left-Hand Chassis Subframe.

Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}7/E26.3.30

Referring to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/MJ.21.3.30 the position which you set out in paragraphs 4 and 5 makes the matter very clear.

I have seen Oy. and EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} and there does not seem to be anything more that we can do in regard to this matter.

What I was anxious about all along was that, having proved the Phantom II in England to be a satisfactory complete car with a sub-frame, and having proved the left-handed chassis to be a satisfactory complete car with sub-frames on the experimental cars, the American Company should not then attach their bodies to the frame by a different method and perhaps obtain unsatisfactory results.

I gather, however, that, although they may not use our frame, they will use our standard body mounting brackets, our rubber packings and generally mount the body in the same way as we do.
