To: Mr. [redacted] 1160. Copy to Mr. E.W., Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington}2/MN.18.6.38. Section for the Measurement of Vibration. You will remember that Shaw was originally intended for noise measurement on the Chassis side, and when the transfer took place it was agreed that the need for noise analysis on chassis work should not be overlooked, and that probably the best way to organise the job would be to build up Shaw's section with at least two more people, one of which could be considered as engaged primarily on chassis problems. The names of these two men were Lancaster and 'A.N.Other'. Attached is a note from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} raising this question, and also asking for copies of Shaw's reports for information. Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} Att. | ||
