To By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} X1110 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth.2/KW.28.1.36. Borg & Beck Driven Plates for Ph.III. Will you please make an arbor to Borg & Beck drawing CG.77 attached, but with splines to take our Ph.III driven plate hubs. This is so that they can balance the assembly and check for flatness in the case of the 12 plates they are making for us. In this connection also will you please note that for the experimental plates we have made a practice of sending the hubs to Borg & Beck already drilled. They have then drilled their plate from the hub. We have also sent the iron rivets for assembling the plate. We suggest that this procedure be followed in the case of the 12 plates.
