Reply to be addressed to John Marston Limited for the attention of JC/IE FROM JOHN MARSTON LIMITED, WOLVERHAMPTON. 5th September, 1936 GRY{Shadwell Grylls} Noted, HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/SM Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. Attention of Mr. Steadman. Dear Sir, With regard to the four Oil Coolers E.87820, recently returned to these works owing to the excessive variation of the seatings by the unions. These coolers were carefully inspected and passed the test agreed on during Mr. Steadman's visit here. If these Coolers were pressure tested before the test on flatness of these surfaces we should expect to find some distortion, for as previously stated we find these coolers will distort under pressure. We are most anxious to eliminate all trouble with these Coolers, we would be very glad if Mr. Steadman could ring up Mr. Dunn to discuss the matter. The writer is away next week, but Mr. Dunn is familiar with the matter. Yours faithfully, John Coltman | ||
