Messrs. Rudge-Whitworth Ltd.,
COVENTRY.

For the attention of Mr. G.L. Hack.

Dear Sirs,

Replying to your letter of the 12th inst., I am enclosing some drawings of the self-adjusting tappets discussed and also some diagrams showing the cam toes suitable for the purposes discussed here.

While he was here, Mr. Hack mentioned the fact that you always ran to hardened piston rings. We should like to receive any information you can give us on this subject, i.e., material for such rings, methods of hardening, effect on cylinder wear, etc.

Thanking you in advance,

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
