For the attention of J.N.Longley, Esq.

Dear Sirs,

With reference to the writer's visit to your Factory yesterday, we confirm that we would like to test some samples of interleaving made of cardboard impregnated with wax and with fabric tips spliced on and bakelized, the tips to be the same thickness as the rest of the interleaving. The tips should have moulded along their centre the same raised locating rib as the rest of the interleaving, or alternatively, if this is expensive, the rib might be sewn along the complete interleaf, including the tip.

The co-efficient of friction of the tip should be kept as low as possible.

In order to simplify production of experimental samples the tips may be fixed to one end of a length of interleaving as follows:-
