LID{A. J. Lidsey} x3499. To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re Thermostatically Operated Radiator Shutters. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}3/E23.9.32 Copy to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Thanks for Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}6/MJ.22.9.32. In writing my former memo. I had quite forgotten that 58-GN had the old hand-controlled shutters. I am afraid I got so used to the thermostatically operated shutters on 19-G-IV in France that I had forgotten I still had the other type. Nevertheless, I should like to get the spring referred to tried on one or two London cars, and if you could send a couple to N. with instructions to fit and let me know when they have been sent, I will arrange for them to be fitted to suitable cars.
