X7770 SECRET. To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} "SS{S. Smith}" Cars. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}1/E3.7.29 Referring to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG1.7.29 I am very pleased to note that, since 21-EX was sent up, you have been able to effect definite improvements, but at the same time sorry to see that you are still not satisfied with the amount of fuss and noise which can be heard in the driving seat. I can arrange a trial on Monday the 8th, and suggest that we meet at the same spot as once previously, i.e. near the four cross roads where the St.Albans to Barnet main road cuts across the bypass road. Please let me know by return what time would suit you best, but I should like it to be not before about 11.30. If the early afternoon would suit you equally well, it would certainly suit me better.
