BRAKE DRUMS CAST ON MILD STEEL BACK PLATE. Re: RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/Vs.{J. Vickers}2/JS.{Mr Johnson's Secretary}2.9.37. The only reason for casting the rim solid was that hard spots were encountered in trying to machine the webs. We must have a balanced drum, and this I am afraid means machining the ribs and general outline. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} By | ||
