Internal memorandum regarding the cessation of free meals in the canteen without an authorised ticket.

| Mr.Robotham 1204 June. 1938. It has been decided that no free meals will be supplied by the Canteen to members of the staff or visitors unless a ticket signed by the head of a department, authorising such supply, is handed to the waitress at the time when the meal is served. This rule will be strictly enforced and the Canteen waitresses have received instructions that payment will be demanded in all cases when a ticket is not produced. To give effect to this I am enclosing a book of tickets which please issue to members of your staff when required. Further books may be obtained on application to Mr.Keightley.
