W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham, Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
Derby.

My dear Robotham,

Further to my letter on the subject of the car, I was at the Aero Garden Party on Sunday and thought perhaps I might see you there. However, I saw Lappin and I told him about it and he said he would talk it over with you when he came up to Derby and he is very kindly going to give an eye to it. I am not worried about it, but I think if these bigger wheels will give an easier riding job, it is as well to have it done because the rest of the car, apart from the body, seems as though it will last almost indefinitely. Up to the present I have done less than 40,000 miles, so I shall be very pleased to have the new wheels put on. The car will go up as arranged on Thursday.

I was sorry you did not turn up on Sunday at the Show. There were quite a lot of people and a very interesting flying. In fact, when I saw all the private planes there, I began to realise how wrong we all were to go to a place like that by road and I think you will have to make some arrangement whereby the Bentley can ship a couple of wings and go by air.

Incidentally, you will be pleased to know the delphiniums, the seeds of which you kindly sent me, are doing very well and I hope they are going to flower. I hope we shall have the pleasure of seeing you down here some time in the summer.

With kindest regards to the wife,

Yours sincerely,
J.W. Howlett
