X. 2746 - STANTON TESTS OF ALUMINIUM ALLOYS
X. 3039 - TENSILE " " "
X. 3040 - Upton Lewis Tests of "
X. 3041 - SPECIFIC GRAVITY AND BRINELL HARDNESS TESTS OF ALUMINIUM ALLOYS

We have now to hand the following results as follows:-

Stanton Test Results:-

M3 519) average 441.
M3 363)

M4 310) average 365.
M4 421)

A.F. 270)
A.F. 378) average 443.
A.F. 682)

There was only one "scrapper", namely an M.4;
the third M.3 was broken in error on the Stanton Test Machine with a .375' drop, whereas for all the others the drop of the hammer was .312.'

It will be remembered that the M.3 and M.4 alloy are the two sample magnaliums lately received, and that those marked A.F. are the R.A.F. B.4 alloy.

Upton Lewis Tests:-

The Upton Lewis diagram for the R.A.F. B4 alloy will follow shortly.

Specific Gravity Tess:-

A.F. 2.96

Brinell Tests

M.3 67
M.4 59
W.F 59
